01 / THE CHARACTER OF THE BRAND

First the place. Then the home.

1988Phuket · the first chapter

Adrian Zecha opened Amanpuri in 1988. The idea of an intimate retreat became an architectural approach: understand the setting, then leave room for quiet. Aman is recognised less by a repeated façade than by its relationship with the landscape.

02 / LIVING WITH THE NAME

From a philosophy
to your own address.

Aman frames its destinations as intimate sanctuaries shaped by local geography, design and cultural heritage. Its service language centres on privacy, quiet attentiveness and the feeling of being welcomed into a private home.

Aman operates both retreats and private residences. Aman Tokyo is the hotel in Otemachi; Aman Residences, Tokyo is a separate residential address in Azabudai Hills. They are different places with different ways of living.

THE DETAILS OF LIVING

Character lives
in the particulars.

Aman New York

22 homes in the Crown Building

Aman New York describes its residential collection as 22 private homes. Intimacy is expressed through a specific building scale.

Aman New York

A separate arrival

Owners and their guests have a separate entrance on 56th Street, distinct from the hotel arrival. Architecture establishes a boundary between guest and home life.

03 / THE IDEA BECOMES A HOME

Aman Residences, Amangiri

The residences use desert landforms as a starting point: concrete walls echo the landscape’s tones and pools recall water gathered beneath cliffs. Pavilions and sheltered outdoor spaces frame the vast surrounding terrain.

Concrete
Poured concrete walls are described as echoing the desert’s colour and texture.
Landscape as reference
Pools and the arrangement of pavilions draw on natural formations around the site.

PEOPLE AND RITUALS

The art of knowing when to pause.

Sometimes a person explains a place better than a manifesto. At Aman, two champions explore what happens between efforts: recovery, attention and the freedom to find one’s own pace.

Recovery is a discipline, too.

For the five-time Grand Slam champion, performance does not end on court. In her Aman campaign she explores the intentional pause through movement, breath, warmth and water. The film takes that idea into the Dolomites and the world of Aman Rosa Alpina.

For a home, the idea becomes a simple question: does your day leave space to recover?

Dolomites · Aman Rosa Alpina · brand campaign

Strength, with room for balance.

Djokovic’s partnership with Aman connects training with restorative rituals. His programmes explore movement and recovery. This is a contribution to the brand’s wellness culture, not a story about owning a residence.

The archive film shows the programme’s beginning in April 2025. Current programme details are published by Aman.

These people illuminate Aman’s philosophy. The campaigns concern hospitality and wellness; participation does not establish homeownership or mean the programmes are included with every residence.

ONE NAME. DIFFERENT WAYS TO LIVE.

Choose your own
way of living.

Privacy, service and the layout of a home vary by project. These examples make the differences tangible.

An owners' entrance on 56th Street

Aman specifies an entrance on 56th Street for owners and their guests, separate from the hotel.

A separate entrance does not fully describe private lifts or staff circulation.

A lift lobby of your own

Two- to six-bedroom homes on floors 54–64 have their own elevator lobbies; residents-only spaces are described on floors 54 and 56.

The standalone residences at Azabudai should not be confused with the Aman Tokyo hotel at a different address.

Three- to ten-bedroom villas consist of separate pavilions. Ocean-front and Garden Villas differ in setting and views.
